Welcome to Tiny Texans ISR! I’m McKinsey Fries, a certified ISR instructor based in Dripping Springs, Texas, where I live with my husband and our two adventurous little girls (4, 2). I’ve been in the Austin-area for 20 years, and in the Dripping Springs area for over 5 years. We love it here!

Growing up as a competitive swimmer, I’ve always had a deep love and appreciation for the water. We had a pool growing up, so I was introduced to ISR at the young age of 6 months old. My next meeting with the ISR program came much later, when my oldest had just turned 2. She LOVES the water but would regularly launch herself into the pool. We very quickly enrolled her into the ISR program and were blown away with how effective the program was in teaching essential water safety skills. Seeing the confidence and safety it gave her, with the peace of mind it gave me, I felt called to become an instructor to give other the families the same experience.

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me spending quality time with my family and friends. Our weekends are typically filled with exploring all the hill country has to offer.  We love to travel and discover new places – Disney is one of our favs. I’m a big animal lover and have two senior dogs that bring us so much happiness. I can’t wait to get to know your family and begin water safety lessons with your little ones!
